It was easiest time to score but if you bowled straight you could make it hard for the batters with variations. First 10-15 overs we were a little bit off it.
Really pleased for Kate, she has probably not had the best day but is one of the most resilient people that I know so to see her do that was outstanding. We kept saying to each other, 'Lauren Bell is in next!' Poor Lauren was very nervous. We kept losing wickets and making it hard for ourselves so just really pleased. It was difficult to be fluent and rotate the ball around so it pure relief at the end. It was a tricky wicket, I had to have a simple plan, find a way of scoring. On her own innings: "I was trying to keep it in, stay in my bubble and keep really calm. "The fight in this side is just remarkable." But we just broke it down in 10s and to beat a good side, I still think we can be a lot better, I don't think we've been our best. "I thought it was starting to slip away towards the end when we kept losing wickets and the crowd really kept us in it. It was tough, I don't think I middled one until I got to 30. Player of the match, England captain Heather Knight: "It was hard work out there. It wasn't an easy place to bowl with the win, so she was great." She hasn't bowled much in ODI cricket but she just rolled with it. I kept thinking of taking her off, but she wouldn't go for many so I kept her on. The pitch was hard to play against if you put it in the right areas. On Alice Capsey's bowling: "She was awesome. We task those girls with getting the bulk of the runs and that made it easier for us taking on the spinners in the middle." I was trying to stay calm, but the way we took on the power play, Tammy and Alice were outstanding. "It feels like the momentum is really with us. "Kate hasn't had the best game so to come back and win the game for us is outstanding. I wouldn't mind a slightly less close one, but it was an awesome game and I was calmer out in the middle where I could influence the game rather than in the dressing room.
